Soul Mirrors

These mobiles appear similar in form to the well-known Dream-Catchers,
and they also share a spiritual function. However, contrary to Dream Catchers, Soul Mirrors are not designed to filter dreams and to hold the unwanted entities;
the purpose of Soul Mirrors is to reflect individual states of consciousness and existential patterns, and actually help reveal the unwanted and the repressed.

Soul Mirrors are usually made specifically for one individual:
I will consult with a person and translate the material they lay out into an assemblage of objects and symbols in a polysemic structure.
Once it is suspended in their home, the Soul Mirror will 'talk' to its owner
day after day, revealing elements previously unnoticed,
like a mirror unveiling new angles of reflection.

The materials used are natural, each Soul Mirror is unique,
and the very concept is original, as far as I know.

Nothing that the mind produces should be repressed as a secret,
and it isn't necessary to protect oneself from visions or dreams.
On the contrary, let's see them as clues on our journey
into the fathomless depths within.
