I began practicing martial arts in 1976, and yoga 22 years ago. I offer an integrative approach, cross-breeding disciplines like Kundalini Yoga, Chi Gong, Taoist Microcosmic Breath, Tai Chi Chuan (Push Hands, Sticky Hands), Yi Quan - Tai Ki Ken. For practical purposes, I group them under the hat of Tai Chi Chuan.
This site was primarily designed to support the home practice of my students, but anyone is most welcome to use the material posted here, to comment and ask questions.
It may serve as a reminder for students, it may be an introduction and inspiration for newcomers, and it may give a different perspective to advanced martial arts practitioners.
Please keep in mind that the material presented in the videos is only the tip of the iceberg, on both theoretical and biomechanical aspects.
My teaching doesn’t follow a linear chronology; it is more like a spiral movement. I post information in the form of layers, in order of increasing depth and subtlety. Therefore, one given exercise may be presented in several different videos. I begin with easily accessible aspects, which you can practice to create a ground on which to build holistically. Patience, passion and depth are key.
You can follow the tutorials both horizontally, to learn and refine material and form, and you can explore them vertically to reach deeper layers of subtlety and meaning.
The understanding of what you learn will grow through practice only.
Remember, no video may ever be a substitute to a session in actual presence.
